The Oakland Youth Chorus offers its spring choral concert, “¡Oye La Música!” on Saturday, May 10th, featuring the choruses of the OYC, with singers from age five to adult, including the all-city Elementary School Miracle Chorus, the award-winning Middle School Magic Chorus & the teens of the Concert Chorus.
These talented young musicians will touch your heart with stirring spirituals
and gospel songs, music of many cultures and countries, sparkling classical
pieces, and contemporary music that’s full of fun!
This concert will also have an international flavor, as the chorus is fortunate
to be joined by local singer, arranger, and composer María Márquez, who brings
the music and folklore of her native Venezuela to our joyous event.
