Singers who wish to join the middle and high school Concert Chorus or Chamber Singers for the 2016-2017 Season should contact Artistic Director La Nell Martin at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 510-287-9700 to schedule an audition.
The Oakland Youth Chorus offers a variety of programs throughout Oakland, Alameda, and Richmond for children and youth ages 5-21. OYC’s unique approach combines repertoire from cultures around the world, professional performance opportunities, a solid foundation in music literacy and sight singing, and the chance to make friends from across the East Bay.

If you are from a school with an OYC program not listed here, please contact your school’s after school program coordinator for how to enroll your child in the Chorus.
For information about starting a daytime or after school community-based program in your neighborhood, please fill out our OYC in your Community form. If you are a school principal, after-school coordinator, teacher or parent and would like to have Oakland Youth Chorus provide a general music/choral daytime or after school choral program at your school, please contact Executive Director Keri Butkevich at 510-287-9700 or email@example.com.
Online registrations can be made with credit cards through our registration system. If you are using a check or credit card for payment, registration can be done by printing and mailing the registration form (PDF). For any registration or payment questions, or to have a paper registration form mailed to you, please contact our staff at 510-287-9700 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Concert Chorus and Chamber Singers: The tuition fee for each session is $440. This includes a $25 non-refundable processing fee in the event a singer must withdraw within the first three weeks of the session. No refunds after the third week of each session will be given.
The session fee includes over 50 hours of instruction taught to California State Music Standards, community performances and OYC concerts, opportunities to perform with guest conductors and musical organizations, all sheet music needed, performance attire, retreats and workshops. All new students will receive an OYC T shirt as part of their registration.
Miracle Choruses: Please refer to the fee structure for your child’s ensemble. Fees are based upon a $20/class format. Because the number of classes can vary from program to program, checking the individual sites will give you the most accurate information.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Tuition fees cover only 25% of OYC’s expenses, and we are committed to helping singers and families participate regardless of economic circumstance. All children registered in OYC programs will bring information home in the first few weeks of class detailing the special rehearsals and events they can participate in with OYC during the year. Please make sure we have your EMAIL ADDRESS so you can receive our monthly singer specific eblasts with all the latest information about community performances and our classes.
